Warranties

For the lifetime of your flooring, Specialty Flooring Xtra guarantees your flooring installation against faulty workmanship.

This warranty is not transferable and only applies to residential owner occupiers

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Care & Advice

There are three basic requirements for caring and cleaning of your new flooring.

• 1. Frequent thorough vacuuming
• 2. Prompt clean up of spills
• 3. Periodic professional cleaning

If you follow our tips for preventative care and maintenance, your flooring should continue to look amazing for many years to come. Following our care instructions should extend the life of your floor and improve how it wears:

• The best hint to maintaining your floor is to adopt a ‘no shoes’ policy. This eliminates the chance of dirt and stones being walked through your house and potentially scratching the floor.
• We highly recommend the use of door mats at all external entrances. Be wary of using rubber based mats as the rubber or colour can stain the floor.
• The floor must be regularly vacuumed (bristles down) or swept with an electrostatic mop as often as necessary, to remove loose dirt or grit to prevent scratching of floor.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring powder on your floor. Never use oil soaps, wax, soap based detergents or other household products to clean the floors. Where spillages occur immediate clean-up is necessary to avoid damage.
• Moving furniture across your floor can lead to damaging the surface. Never slide or roll heavy furniture.
• Install protective mats under office chairs or castor wheels.
• Stilletto heals or damaged shoe soles can severely damage the floor.
• Keep your internal environment ventilated, protected from extreme sunlight and humidity to avoid distortion of flooring or fading.

Regular Maintenance

Wipe up spills promptly with a dry cloth or dry paper towel. For sticky substances, moisten the cloth slightly.

Any flooring can become slippery when wet. Be sure to wipe up spills immediately.
